Finally I'm up to date with my generation and I'm not talking about facebook or an iphone, but even better, a few short months ago I set up my first e-mail address (yes it is 2013) and not only that but now a blog. I'm clearly new to all this so bare with me. If anything it will be quite entertaining.
This blog is for me to be able to stay connected with my family and my friends, because if you fall under one of those categories you know that's not one of my strong points.
When it came time to actually post for the first time, I froze. As my cousin Rachel would call it "blog fright". So I thought I would give myself time. Time turned into three weeks. So now that I have all my fonts and colors sorted and resorted and changed and changed back and theorized my blog name until I was blue in the face, oh and then changed the colors one more time... I think I'm now ready.
Just to give you a little back story... I have perfect children, I spend my days as a domestic goddess, cleaning the entire house (all three stories), making sure we never run out of freshly laundered towels, cooking elaborate meals with fresh baked cookies for dessert. I make all my children's clothes, curtains, pillows, etc... and still find time to work in my garden which may I add, produces a variety of abundant fruits and vegetables.
If life were that easy I wouldn't need therapy and meds. I am however, a real person...
I'm chasing the simple life.
I have the most incredible, brilliant and tenderhearted children I could ask for, I think they have taught me more about life than I have taught them. I am for the most part a stay at home mom accept the job I love that I give up my weekends for (lie, I'm robbed of my weekends so I can earn a little pocket change to support my crafting habit). I do sew when I can, I enjoy reading when I can, and I do have a garden but last year it only produced one zucchini, two pumpkins and a considerable amount of self doubt. Hopefully this year I will report a bountiful haul. I do enjoy cooking and trying new recipes but because of those ever so informative documentaries we love to watch, I am now vegetarian. I have a new found love of roasted vegetables and if it weren't for butter and cheese I would be vegan. If after all that and only if I have enjoyed a significant nap, I will consider doing some housework. Nah, I don't get off that easy, I do enjoy a clean and efficiently organized, chemical-less home just as much as the next person. I make my own cleaning products, deodorant, toothpaste, etc.
Ah, the simple life.
And with that, so begins the journey...
You are such a good writter! I LOL'd a lot... And I said "bloggers-block" haha! Looks like you got passed that. You inspire me to be a less boring "blogger". Love You!
